The Clock Haus in the historical town of
Frankenmuth, Michigan was transformed into a working cuckoo clock, complete with
moving musical figurines and 6' clock dial. Controlled by an industrial programmable
logic controller, the automated clock created a storefront in
keeping with the German theme and architecture of the community.
The hand-built characters were made of a
wood-epoxy laminate and painted with faces to match the theme of the clock. The
facade created a noticeable landmark and greatly increased business in the
location for its owners.
